Pick what you want to build, type in your own source, and the request writes itself — ready to paste. Everything below is the same thing you watched being built live, with the parts that stop it going wrong already in the text.
This matters more than anything you type. There are two routes and only one is reliable.
Cowork sidebar → Artifacts → New artifact.
A new session opens and asks which connectors it may use. Approve the one you need, read access only. That question is the whole reason this route works — a live artifact can only use connectors approved at the moment it's created, so if you click past it you get a page that can never read anything.
Asking for an artifact inside an ordinary chat. Sometimes it works; when it
doesn't you get a published page that never re-reads, and it looks identical to the real thing. If what
you end up with isn't labelled Cowork, it won't re-read.
You have to be in the right organisation. On a Wix Enterprise account all of this works. On some other accounts the live-artifact option simply isn't there, and Claude will tell you it can't build one — it's telling the truth. Check the account menu at the top of the sidebar before you blame the feature.

A frozen page and a live one look identical. Thirty seconds settles it.
"Live" means it re-asks — not that the answer is newer. The page fetches when you open it, so it's always freshly asked. But it can only show what's in the source: if the underlying data is three weeks old, so is your page. And the newest row in any dataset is usually incomplete — a part-month always looks like a collapse.
